There are NO expansion valves included on remote models with the exception of the GDL Series, OD Series & PO Series.

Shipment:

A preferred carrier will be used when feasible, however, we reserve the right to ship via any responsible carrier. Rate charges or discrepancies are between carrier and consignee. All weights are approximate. Marc Refrigeration does not warrant actual weights or freight rates

Damage:

Damaged goods are not to be returned to the factory. Claims for damages must be made by the consignee with the carrier. Marc Refrigeration assumes no responsibility from damage while in transit.

Limited Warranty:

All equipment of our manufacture and bearing the Marc Refrigeration Mfg., Inc. name-plate is thoroughly inspected and carefully tested before shipment. We warrant it to be free from defects in workmanship and material before leaving our factory.

Under this warranty our obligation is limited to replacing or repairing without charge any equipment returned to our factory within one year from date of original shipment and found by our inspection to be defective in factory workmanship or material. All replacements and repairs will be F.O.B. factory.

No claims will be accepted for any part becoming defective through damage in transit, misuse, neglect, use for other than the intended purpose, improper installation, alteration, accident or act of God. We will not assume responsibility for loss of refrigerant not for labor charges, travel mileage, replacement parts purchased, or any other expense incurred in the field. Neither will we be liable for personal injury, food spoilage or other consequential damage of any kind.

For protection under this warranty, (A) all claims must be made by the registered original owner, (B) transportation charges on material returned to us must be prepaid.

The manufacturer, distributor and dealer makes no express or implied warranties, including warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular use with respect to the equipment, and hereby disclaims the same, except as specifically set forth in this limited warranty.

This warranty is in lieu of all other guarantees, obligations, or liabilities express or implied by the company or its representatives.

In accordance with accepted industry practice, responsibility for installation, start-up and continuing service is to be arranged between the dealer and the user.

As a condition precedent for all coverage under this expressed warranty, (A) the registration card accompanying all products sold must be properly completed and forwarded to Seller within ten (10) days after original installation, (B) all claims must be filed by the registered original purchaser, and (C) all transportation charges on equipment returned to Seller must be prepaid.

Additional Limited Warranty On Self-Contained Models:

All equipment of our manufacture and bearing the Marc Refrigeration Mfg., name-plate is thoroughly inspected and carefully tested before shipment.

A 180-day labor and 5 year compressor warranty (no labor after 180 days) policy is provided with new self-contained equipment through Equiguard, Inc. with the contract paperwork attached hereto. This labor policy is subject to limitations as stated in the Equiguard contract. 6 Month Labor, 5 Years Compressor Warranty On Self-Contained Models Only:

Non-Functional parts are not warranted and all “EXCLUSIONS” except for the first sentence of the EXCLUSIONS section are applicable to Non-Functional Parts.

Six Month Labor Warranty:

In addition to the above Parts Warranty, a six (6) month Labor Warranty applies to the Parts of your unit. Proof of purchase* is required. Except as noted in the Exclusions Section herein, the Parts described above are warranted against defects in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance for a period of 6 months from the purchase date. We will exchange or repair any warranted defective part upon its presentation to our contracted service company.

The compressor “parts only” is covered for 5 years from date of purchase.

OUR WARRANTY IS STATED IN THE TERMS ABOVE AND IS LIMITED TO EXCHANGE OF DEFECTIVE FUNCTIONAL PARTS FOR 5 YEARS AND LABOR FOR SIX MONTHS. WE WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY OTHER FORM OF COMPENSATION IN LIEU OF EXCHANGE PROVISION. THE FOREGOING PROVISIONS STATE THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER CLAIM TO THE PRODUCT. THE EXPRESSED WARRANTIES CONTAINED HEREIN ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES. IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE FUNCTIONAL PARTS WARRANTY DESCRIBED HEREIN. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO DAMAGES FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PECUNIARY LOSS, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ACTS OF GOD OR ANY ACTION OF THE MANUFACTURER, THE SERVICE FACILITY, OR ADMINISTRATOR. OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE REPLACEMENT COST OF THE EQUIPMENT DURING THE TERM OF THIS WARRANTY.

Exclusions:

This warranty does not cover loss or damage due to:

  • Corrosion of evaporator and condenser coils or cabinet caused by rust, oxidation, corrosion. water freezing, fire or other natural acts of God.
  • Accessories external of the unit (thermostats, humidifiers, etc.)
  • Improper installation, misuse, abuse, negligence or damage or when used for applications other than comfort heating and cooling.
  • Components or other accessories not compatible with the unit or part of the original manufacturer equipment.
  • Routine maintenance, or damage due to lack of maintenance.
  • Nuisance calls where no mechanical repairs have been made.
  • Mileage to and from service call.
  • Operation at outside temperatures in excess of 1200 or below 500 (except heating).
  • Installations outside the United States or Canada.
  • Appearance features, esthetics, paint and cabinet parts, knobs and buttons.
  • Field piping; high or low voltage lines external of the equipment.
  • Loss of performance due to normal wear and tear.
  • Equipment rentals or usage fees including but not limited to: refrigerant reclaim, leak detectors, temporary service items, etc.
  • Brown outs or environmental conditions not acceptable to the original equipment manufacturer for the use of their equipment.
  • Replacement parts, inflated prices or modification to existing equipment required due to government regulations) regarding refrigerants).

Proof Of Purchase Date:

It is the responsibility of the consumer to establish the original purchase date for warranty purposes. We recommend that a bill of sale, cancelled check or some other appropriate Payment record be kept for that purpose.
